This volume, with text and annotation, is a compilation of Herblock's cartoons and analysis of Richard Nixon, from 1948 to 1974. Nixon and Herblock were perfect counterpoints for one another, and this book is a fascinating look at Nixon's career through the eyes of one of his harshest critics in the print media. It is interesting to note that Herblock was one of the earliest to comprehend what many others did not even get until the resignation, that Richard Nixon did not have the character and integrity to be a dogcatcher, let alone President of the United States.
