This book is about a family that moved to the United States from Cambodia. The grandparents are sad that they are no in Cambodia to celebrate the new year. So, there grandson, Dara draws them all pictures to have them recapture some of beauty that Cambodia is made of

I liked this booked because it showed how different cultures of people celebrated different things. It really opened my eyes to more things.

In the classroom, we would discuss how their new year is different then that United States new year. I would also have draw picture of how they think that the beautiful Combodia looked like.

This story is about a family who just moved to America from Cambodia. The grandmother and grandfather are sad because it is almost Cambodia's new year. The grandson decides to draw pictures of Cambodia to cheer everyone up. The grandfather loves the pictures and is excited to celebrate.

I like that this book shows kids how things are different in other places in the world.

I would use this book if I had a student who had just moved to the U.S. I would also use this book if I was covering Cambodia or just other countries.
