I was so excited to see that there was a follow-on but when I got the book I was quite disappointed. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. It was lovely to 'see' what happened to the triplets et al - my main bugbear was that the writing seemed very stilted and more old-fashioned than the original books - happy that I read it, glad that I borrowed it from the library rather than paying for a copy. (

I know lots of Chalet School fans don't like this book but I really enjoyed it. It's definetely an adult story and lots of bad things happen but the same could be said of lots of fan fiction that I love. (

)
