Fargo owes nothing to the Pan Humana. Excellent character- and event-driven sci-fi. A relatively short book yet the scope contained within its mere 340 pages is immense. So many things happen, and there are so many layers to the storyline, that I had to stop at times just to think through the events being described. This is intelligent story-telling of the highest caliber.
