Sam loves to read and is very good at it. He finds that when you know how to read to can learn a lot. With the power of reading Sam is able to save the day in many situations in which could be out of hand. Age: Primary Genre: Fantasy Media: colored pencil Review/Critique: This little boy is born reading and loves books. He uses them in this everyday life. Then randomly its winter time and a giant steals all of the toys and he has to get them back. This is a fantasy because babies are not born reading. Also because bullies are not giant. This book felt really disjointed to me as if it was two different stories about the same child. I really enjoyed the first half and the second half appeared out of no where and got weird. I would use this to get kids excited about reading. This book is fantasy because books help him get the giant child back to his giant mother by hanging him off of a helicopter, but also has real world elements as he learns to win races and be a better person through reading. He is able to learn about anything he wants to because he can read about it and learn from those books. I could use this in any grade, but since the boy in the story is so young, I would most likely read it to 1st-3rd grade. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
