The text follows the metamorphosis of caterpillar to butterfly and uses bright photos to chronicle every step. Cartoony illustrations accompany the photographs, delivering quick trivia alongside the light-hearted drawings. A simple glossary and website conclude the book and direct the child in pursuit of more butterfly knowledge. Butterflies are a perennial favorite with adults and children alike.
