In volume one of Loveholic we got to see the beginnings of the romantic relationship between publicist Matsukawa and temperamental photographer Nishioka. In this volume Nishioka reveals a desire to be more involved in the business proposal aspect of ad campaigning as opposed to just taking pictures, but when Matsukawa's jealousy puts him in competition with his lover, Nishioka is left feeling more than just a little frustrated with his new enterprise. On the other hand, Matsukawa is feeling more than a little frustrated with his relationship with Nishioka as the photographer displays a hang up about declaring his personal feelings.

I read this one once a couple months ago but found I enjoyed it much more the second time around. I like the continuously evolving aspects of both the personal and business relationships between these two characters. Nishioka is a combination of child like wonder and steadfast ideals when it comes to his photography. On the other hand "Dai-Chan" seems to waiver between his professional demeanor at work and his much wilder inner punk. Despite their disparate personalities these two work and play well together and it made for a very enjoyable series of stories.

The artwork here is simple and pleasing. Although these two men have a lot of "bedroom" time over the course of the manga, there is nothing explicit shown and the has an appropriate rating of being for ages 16 +. This is a good one for those who like their stories and artwork to be more in the realm of BL than yaoi. ( )
