I prefer the Anne Hooper style -- very visual (if carefully angled and shot to not be XXX). The drawings and format just didn't draw me in. After flipping through it a dozen times, I set it aside, essentially unread. That feels like an unfair review, "sorry, didn't read it." but I didn't read it b/c there was nothing in the format for me. I don't want to sit down and read a book on this topic like homework, and that's how the formatting (long paragraphs in chapters) and drawings felt.Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. On a practical basis, this book is sensible and useful; actual techniques are described in a way that's straightforward and accessible, and with practice, it seems as though they could work very well. Sure, they are mostly common sense, but they are also approaching misconceptions and concerns that people really do have. Stylistically, the prose leaves something to be desired, but that's not really the point of the book. If the topic appeals, it's worth a look. (Review written by my wife)We need more books like this, to discuss pleasure and sexuality without embarrassment or juvenile jokes. I would like to read their other books, and books on similar topics. Although the book is intended for either men or women, more time is spent discussing how to pleasure women, because this is the more difficult task. Couples containing at least one woman will benefit the most, although there is information for single men and women as well. The illustrations are very helpful. It is not surprising that the authors have their own agenda, but if you persist (or skip) through the first chapter, you find the meat of the techniques and the agenda fades into the background. Whether the techniques work to learn instant orgasm will only be known with practice and time, but as the practice is enjoyable, it’s ok if we never achieve perfection. The main message seems to be persistence. Like any skill, it takes dedication and perseverance. Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. Having never read a sex manual before, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I think some of the ideas presented in this book were interesting, but not necessarily earth-shattering. Good communication is essential to good lovemaking...really? Gee, I'd never heard that before. There are some specific hand-placements described which might be fun to try out, and the book also describes ways to train yourself and your partner to extend pleasure. But I'm left wondering if I really learned anything new. I'll keep it around—it might be fun to peruse again the next time I'm feeling frisky—but I'm glad I didn't pay for my copy. Steve and Vera Bodansky offer a crash course in preparing for pleasure. They encourage readers to find out what feels good to them, and then communicate that to their partner. They also instruct readers to make "connections" between their pleasure areas and a secondary body part, which can increase sensitivity during sexual encounters. They give specific, explicit instructions, complete with illustrations, on techniques to create and intensify the orgasmic response. I had a mixed reaction to this book. I think the authors offered some interesting and useful information, presented in a clear, easy to understand manner. However, I found myself put off by the style of writing the authors chose. Their switches from technical, medical terminology to slang for female genitals felt awkward, and their attempts at humor often fell flat. I think the authors tried to write in an informal, conversational style. This did not work for me, but I understand it might appeal to a larger audience. I did not find this a book I would choose to keep in my collection, but because it has so much good information, can see that it could be helpful to other readers.
INSTANT ORGASM teaches the reader to expand their orgasmic potential by totally focusing on their pleasure areas in order to become instantly orgasmic. The first part of the book describes this instantly orgasmic possibility and gives a person the knowledge and background to fully understand this concept. In order to experience anything it has to become part of our awareness and the authors explain why this "natural ability" has not been allowed to flourish and how to let it bloom. They then present the specific techniques on how to practice becoming instantly orgasmic in a "Ground Hog" approach; that is to repeatedly start over and over again each time with some added knowledge from a previous description until we feel that a person can completely integrate the idea into actual sensation and feelings. Our other books on Extended Massive Orgasm were written in a style that took the reader on a complete orgasmic experience from the starting to going up to the arousal through peaking and then coming down. This book is about starting and stopping, starting and stopping in order to bring the reader to the point of here and now so that they may become a fully sensual being. This book also presents many different ways and reasons that people resist pleasure and how to handle those resistances. The book's final technical chapter is the art of pleasurable peaking and we describe in more detail than ever the actual timing and purposes of this vitally important method with the added emphasis that each peak starts with a first stroke mentality. The book includes many exercises and illustrations and is written in a clear concise manner. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
