Enjoyable enough. There were characters that were depicted after real movie stars - the most blatant was a character based after Patrick Stewart. I enjoy the series. ( )

The plot is an interesting one, but I soon tired of the repetition of words and themes. The young actresses who are on the island of Margaret's Harbor, Massachusetts filming a not-very-important movie are called "twits" over and over again. The idea that today's celebrities are simply famous for being famous is drilled into the reader time after time. And how often do we need to be told about one actor's refusal to lead the celebrity life, even to the point of covering up his children's existence so that his fame would not impact their lives. Haddam has done better. ( )
