I like that it was in English but it also included some Spanish too. I think some of the things being said in the story seem real and they made sense. If my grandparents were still alive they would tell me the same thing this book said. This story incorporates a lot of traditional knowledge. ( ) I love Saturdays and Domingos tells the story of a young girl who switches between her two sets of grandparents on the weekends. The two sets of grandparents are different but also similar in many ways. I love this story because it teaches a lesson about family differences and mixed multicultural families. This is a multicultural story about a young girl who loves the weekend! On Saturdays, she visits her father's parents, grandma and grandpa. On Domingos, she visits her mother's parents, Abuelita and Abuelito. This book encompasses multicultural family life through language changes, depending upon the day. It's a beautifully illustrated and clever book that is appropriate for K-3, although kindergartners may get fidgety due to length. It can open discussion of family life, weekends, and multiculturism. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
