This book is among a seriescollection that often appeal more to the older agegroup of pre-teen and teen. This series has always been on of my favorites containing intriguing mystery with a bit of a scare factor.

This book is about the strange things that happen revolving around a particular ring. When the ring is found in the parking lot by Beth's new teacher, strange and horrible things start happening and then Beth gets the ring and evil things start happening to her too.

I would use this book in my classroom as entertainment and maybe discuss the book after it is read and ask what was liked most about the book and if the kids really believed whether or not the ring had anything to do with these strange happenings or was it complete coincidence. ( )
