How can one go wrong in this format that is sure to entertain and amuse and often inform? Lists of various sorts fill this huge volume, a follow-up to the wildly successful first volume. We are all accustomed to seeing top ten lists. These lists are not necessarily top, nor bottom -- merely lists of interest, with common themes. Fascinating stuff. As a reference, better documentation would help make this far more useful. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Opening to random pages sees entries like "Angus Wilson's (whoever he was) 10 Persons in History Whose Lives I Would Like To Have Lived In Past Incarnations", "9 Non-Boxers Who Took On the Champions" and "12 Art Riots of the 20th Century", all containing facts and trivia that were new to me when I first read this as a wee nipper, and in attempting to work out who all these people, places and events were, I became so full of general knowledge I have won my fair share of tv quiz shows. So the fact that I own an expensive watch can be linked to picking up this book nearly 30 years ago. ( )
