I chose this book because I know the Disney version of Snow White. Also Snow White and Rose Red just sounded so familiar that I had felt like I had heard this tale before. After reading the story however I can't recall that I had ever read this version. The only thing I can compare it to is Disney. There was only one dwarf in this story not seven and he was evil not helpful. There was a prince whom Snow White does end up marrying. This story featured a bear that was actually a prince which kind of reminded me of Beauty and the Beast (another Disney classic). Quite different tales all together. ( )
