In this child's eye view, a little boy describes what happens at the ceremonial goodbye given to this great grandmother after her burial. Saying Good-bye by Ifeoma Onyefulu is a book about a little girl saying good-bye to her deceased great-grandmother. The book shows how a little girl, Ikenna, deals with death. The book shows how family and friends deal with death in Africa. There is a time for dancing and sharing stories, and there is also a time for silence and remembrance. Ikenna asks many questions throughout the process, seemingly dealing with death for the first time. At the end of the book it seems as though Ikenna has put the death of her great-grandmother in perspective, and the book ends with her feeling the presence of her great-grandmother. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
