The hero and the heroine are childhood best friends that worked together at the hero's brewery. They had been pining for each other but never took that step towards a romantic relationship in fear of ruining their friendship. The hero's twin brother decided to fake date the heroine to force the hero to make that ultimate move that changed the couple's relationship. Will this step be detrimental to the friends' relationship, or will it bring them the happy ending that they want with each other?

This is the first book in the NEWBERRY SPRINGS series by Harlow James. It features tropes such as friends-to-lovers, mutual pining, workplace romance, small-town romance, and more. The author really has a writing style that I really enjoyed, and this makes the book an enjoyable read. I liked the couple together, though I will say that I liked the heroine a bit more than the hero. I also liked the supportive secondary characters that surrounded the couple, especially the aforementioned twin brother that wanted the couple to be happy together. The journey towards the couple's happy ending was a delight to read, and I really appreciated the dual viewpoints that enriched the book a lot. Overall, a wonderful start to the NEWBERRY SPRINGS series and I look forward to reading more of the series in the future.
