Holly is a stressed-out mom. I can relate to that. She & her husband separated about 2 years ago, after years when their youngest son was desperately ill, Holly spent much of her time with him in the hospital, Jack worked overtime and still couldn't keep up with medical bills. Now, moved back to her hometown, she and Jack are getting divorced and their oldest teenaged child is not coping well.
Some situations are a little far-fetched, but the depiction of this stressed mother, who is so strong in taking charge and dealing as best she can, is so vivid that a few minor details are easily glided over (e.g. why didn't she get the drive-in to pay for replacing her car that was destroyed in their fire?) ( )
