Honor-Bound Witch by Deanna Chase is the second book in the Miss Matched Midlife Dating Agency. I do recommend reading Star-Crossed Witch first (it provides needed background information on Marion). I like Deanna Chase’s writing style. It makes her stories easy to read. Marion finds herself searching for a friend with a troubled past. Kennedy, Ty’s boyfriend, ends up in a spot of trouble. It seems trouble is the name of the game with many of Marion’s friends and loved ones experiencing it. Marion’s magic is changing as well. Honor-Bound Witch has mystery, intrigue, and suspense. I enjoyed the hunt for Marion’s missing friend (I love solving mysteries). The book does contain foul language and intimate situations. The book starts off with a bang with a bachelorette party at a male strip club (men showing off their oiled muscles with the bump and grind). Marion’s ghost employee is humorous at times (I am not a fan of her ribald remarks). The ending was unexpected and will have you wondering what will happen in Outmatched Witch. Honor-Bound Witch is an intriguing tale with an absent betrothed, a blue blade, an indomitable brother, magical chaos, and an unforeseen visitor. ( ) aucune critique | ajouter une critique

A paranormal women's fiction novel With her new dating agency business starting to take off in Premonition Pointe, Marion Matched is busier than ever. Between yoga classes, her budding romance, and the ghost who won't stop haunting her, Marian can't seem to find time to get her hair colored and her upper lipped waxed for the upcoming wedding of her two favorite clients. Whoever said women should grow older gracefully never had to deal with patchy gray roots or whiskers that are stiff enough to cut someone. But all of her grooming worries vanish when the bride suddenly goes AWOL. Now Marion finds herself in the middle of literal witch hunt with the bride's surly brother-in-law to be, while a bad actor seems to be sabotaging the lives of her friends and family. With everything falling apart around her, Marion will need all the help she can get from the Premonition Pointe coven, her resident ghost, and an untrustworthy new acquaintance to find her friend before she disappears forever.
