Forgotten Secrets is the first in book in the Vanishing Ranch series by Christy Barritt. I was intrigued by the title and excited to read it. The book draws you into the story from the very beginning because a lot happens in the first few pages leaving readers with a lot of questions. I guess the only issue that I had was that the book slows down a good bit after that for a Christy Barritt book and picks up again about 1/3 of the way through the book. I attributed that to the author needing to set up some background information for the series since this was the first book so I did not find it that off putting. It definitely picked up after that and left me guessing until the end. I found the backstory of the Vanishing Ranch to be very interesting and I look forward to reading more in the series and getting to know more about the characters.
