My thanks to the Author publisher's and NetGalley for providing me with a Kindle version of this book to read and honestly review. This is the sixth outing for Freyja and Hulder these are terrific characters a quality double act but the book works as a standalone story. Clever descriptive intelligent imaginative gruesome at times but with plenty of witty humour sometimes laugh out loud. Well written and translated. About half way through the story it seemed all done and dusted, case solved, but several twists and linking to old cases kept the mystery going to the very last page. Engaging and entertaining from first to last page. More please soon. Completely recommended. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Eleven years later, and detective Huldar and child psychologist Freyja are now working in the same police building, on the same team. An engaging read that draws you in immediately. On a cold day in Reykjavik, a baby goes missing from her pram. A dismembered body turns up in the trunk of a car. I thought I solved the mystery fairly early on, but discovered things were much more complex. Not too gruesome at all, but a good , twisty read. Recommended and can easily be read as a stand alone novel, rather than part of a series. ( )
