I didn't know anything about Beroe before I started this book, least of all that Adonis and Aphrodite had a daughter. I loved her character in this book, and the way she was both everything her parents were and their complete antithesis at the same time. Her speech in Endymion's Cave was exciting for me, with the (confirmed?) possibility of another aro/ace/possibly agender character.
The whole second half of the book was riveting, with the competition between Poseidon and Dionysus
Hera's slow realization of just how badly she needed someone that wasn't Zeus in her life was heart-wrenching, as was her entire subplot with Ixion. He was one of my favourite characters, and I'm really hoping he isn't
