Aucun Actuellement, il n'y a pas de discussions au sujet de ce livre. I love reading books by Caryl McAdoo, and this book lived up to my expectations. Autumn Hope receives dreams given by God. So when she dreams of a man destined to become her husband, she has to find him. Getting him and his mother to accept those dreams as reality takes some time. The storyline and the characters bring this book to life. I love reading about characters from previous books in this stories add to the experience of this book. It provides a continuity as well. So if you enjoy historical Christian fiction, check out this book for yourself. I received a complimentary copy of this book, but this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own. MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK You just can’t go wrong reading a Caryl McAdoo book. I always know I am in for a good Historical Christian Romance read whenever I pick up a book of Miss Caryl’s. In Texas Timbers, we find Autumn and her dreams, and she just knows Sean is the man for her because of the times he has been in her dreams, but Sean is not so sure about that. I love that McAdoo gives us solid characters that develop so well throughout the story. The story flows well and I had fun reading from start to finish. The historic Texas setting gives a feel of what the this historical place in Texas is all about. Of course there is so much more to this story that you don’t want to miss. I encourage you to check out this story my Caryl McAdoo and while you are at it, check out all of her other amazing reads. A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255. Texas Timbers by Caryl McAdoo is book seven in the Cross Timbers Romance Family Saga series. Having not read the whole series, I was easily able to follow this story. This is a very descriptive, well written, fun story to read. Autumn is a well-to-do, beautiful woman who has dreams sent to her by God. She travels to find her future husband while he is working in the woods as a result of these dreams. She has quite the time convincing others she is not crazy and the dreams are truly from God.. This is a fun story to read. I enjoyed the humor as well. I appreciate how the author writes Biblical teachings into her story. I also enjoy how the family sticks together and helps each other out for the good of all. I like how the author uses normal everyday characters to show their strong faith and how they followed God. I felt so sorry for Sean as he struggles with his father leaving the family years prior. I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book, this is my honest review. Texas Timbers is the seventh installment in Caryl McAdoo's "Cross Timbers Romance Family Saga." Although it can be read as a stand-alone, it is considerably more enjoyable if read in order. Caryl McAdoo's fiction stories are always full of life, love, and faith. In Texas Timbers, she tells the narrative of Autumn Harrell, a young woman who has been dreaming of the man God desires for her, Sean O'Farrell. When she sets off on her quest to find him, however, she has no idea who he is or what his name is; all she has are vague images of him from her dreams. Texas Timbers is unlike any previous novel by McAdoo, but it should not deter you from reading it. The story has a lot more faith, forgiveness, trust in the Lord and Biblical insights than most of her other stories, which makes it a fascinating read. This is the book to read if you want to read something unique and enjoyable. I received this book from Celebrate Lit. However, my review is voluntary, and all opinions are my own. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

"Can a romance born of prophecy thrive? Autumn Hope knows for a fact that the man she's to marry cuts timber in the Sulphur River bottoms. She's seen him in her dreams - exactly where he's working and goes so far as to buy that block. Of course, she convinces her father she must travel the hundred and fifty miles to meet the man of her dreams. If he isn't to be her husband, why would she kiss him in her night vision? The lady's sudden appearance baffles Sean. Craziness needs a keeper, but how did she ever find him or know his crosscut saw would break? Wounded by lost love, he cannot believe the tall tale the pretty lady is spinning. It has to be a scam, right? God doesn't work that way... or does He?" --P. [4] of cover. Texas Timbers by Caryl McAdoo is the seventh book in the Cross Timbers Romance Family Saga. It is set in Texas in 1870. While it *could* be read as a standalone I highly recommend that you go back and at least read some of the prior books in the series so that you can fully appreciate the story and Autumn’s gift.
What I think about this book:
McAdoo has a gift for writing, when I start one of her stories I know that I am going to be transported into the world that she is writing and when I read one of her series I am going to get to check in on old friends. I have been anxiously awaiting Autumn’s story and happily ever after for several books. I have often wished I received messages from God as clearly as Autumn does, however I can’t say that I would want the responsibility that comes with it. I appreciated Autumn’s faith in waiting for the man that God showed her would be her husband. It was fun to see Autumn’s determination when she met Sean. I can’t imagine what I would do if I were in a similar situation. Sean was an interesting new character, I enjoyed getting to know him and his backstory. During the story I was very frustrated with Corbin, however as the story progressed I came to understand him slightly more. I love McAdoo’s works and can't wait to see where she takes me next.
