I loved the first two books but I don't know why I kind of struggled with this one.
It's definitely not the pace. The pace of this book is unbelievable. You can't get a moment to breathe, there's always something happening.
And it's definitely not the characters. I feel like the story is doing a full circle. I'm loving the fact that all the characters that appeared in the first or second book are becoming vital pieces of the story and I'm enjoying getting to know each of them better. I'm totally loving the "found family" trope going on.
Now, am I giving the series up? Hell, no! I love Warwick too much to let him go. Also, he and Brexely take the "enemies to lovers" and "dagger to the throat" tropes to another level. Like, fireworks level. Eyes bulging, jaw dropping and body reacting levels.
So, what was the problem you might ask. I have no freaking idea but I'm going straight to book #4. (
