This is a cute book for children explaining the Fibonacci series in a way that's easy to understand. In the story, an angry wizard curses a village with a bunch of rapidly reproducing rabbits. When one little girl pays attention to what is happening, she realizes there is a pattern (the Fibonacci sequence, of course!) to their procreation, a realization which allows her to save her village from rabbit destruction. At the end, there is a short section about the history of the sequence, and some of the ways it appears in nature. My son enjoyed this book (and I did, too), and more importantly, he now has at least a basic understanding of this important (and very cool) number sequence. What a great idea to put math concepts into a format like this! ( ) aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Rapidly multiplying rabbits are taking over the village of Chee, and soon there are so many that even the Pied Piper cannot get rid of them, but a girl named Amanda discovers a pattern that leads to a way to make the rabbits leave. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
