This is one of those rare stories where the character development really shines through. ( ) I love Dark romance. Especially if it is fraught with tension and mystery. This book definitely was that. There is a lot at play in this book. The first big thing that I am trying to understand is this society. There seem to be a lot of players or me who aspire to be a part of it. There is darkness surrounding it. That leads me to Santiago. He is on a mission. Yet, why? I realize parts of it have come out as this book set up the foundation for the next books in the trilogy. It is because of this that the story is consuming my thoughts as I try and come up with answers as to what exactly is going on. What are the motivations between Ivy's brother, Mercedes, and Santiago himself? It is proving to be very entertaining. These authors did a good job at blending their individual writing styles and making it appear seamless. I do not know where one author stops and another one picks up. It is well crafted. The tension is palpable. It is as unique of a storyline as the cover, a cover incidentally is stunning and fitting of the story and the blurb. I got the impression that this was going to be a bumpy road. The ending left me wondering what was going on and I hope that picks up right where this one left me. I will admit I cursed a little at the ending knowing the next book is a ways away. I need the next book like I need air. So many secrets need answers. Bravo to the authors. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
