A lively encyclopedia that celebrates the diversity (and weirdness) of fungi.

The illustrations are gorgeous! They are in this art style I adore, and sometimes they mix in real photographs. I know almost nothing about biology, so I learnt quite a lot like mushrooms are a fungus, lichen are fungus partnered with cyanobacteria or algae, and what hyphae and mycelium means. Fungi have wacky names, like indigo milk cap, witch's butter, parrot waxcap, and the classic fly agaric. Apparently some fungi can eat TNT and radiation, which is crazy. ( )

This book talks about fungus in a fun way that helps readers learn about all types of fungus.
