Cliffords behavior tells the story of a big red dog Clifford with his owner, Emily. They show the activities that the dog and his owner do together. In all the activities, Clifford is exhibiting great manners and behaviors. The main lesson of this story is to use proper manners in all your daily activities. Another children’s book I read is Clifford’s Manners. I would recommend this story about manners for a couple reasons. I greatly enjoy the writing throughout the story because every page includes two sentences that describe what Clifford is doing, and then the side of the page contains a short phrase describing the manner Clifford is doing. An example is the text explaining that Clifford is eating food and talking to his friends. The side note on the page then reads, “Don’t talk with your mouth full” in order to state what the manner actually is. Also, I like the characters, Clifford and Emily. I believe I like the characters because they are relatable, especially if you have a pet dog. I also think that making Clifford a big red dog makes the story more interesting because a dog cannot realistically be that big and red, but it is fun to imagine. The message present in the book is to portray and show the importance of manners. Each page describes a separate manner that you should do in order to be polite and respectful. I recommend this book to all elementary school grades because I believe it is important for children to know and understand their manners. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

You never think about Clifford having a supporting cast beyond Emily Elizabeth, but I was surprised to find in this book the third appearance of his dog buddies from Clifford's Pals and the fourth appearance of his big sister, Bonnie the farm dog. Bonnie has changed colors from white to brown between books, to show how little care Bridwell put into these books. Super meh. ( )
