ParaNorthern is an excellent graphic novel about a young witch named Abby and her friends, finding a way to stop these magical chaos bunnies from destroying her town of North Haven. This book is an excellent way to show a variety of cultures, and a great way to show representation to all students of color. I think this book can help students with their self esteem and be a great way to show the importance of supporting others and having people behind you that show support. ( )

Abby is a young witch who accidentally opens a portal to another dimension, through which a multitude of chaos bunnies arrive and start wreaking havoc. Abby, with the help of her three best friends, a wolf-girl, a ghost and a pumpkin-head, must figure out why her powers were manifesting strangely and how to close the portal.
