This is a great book about writing and the heroine's journey instead of the hero's journey. It's a craft book that I'd recommend all writers and even book lovers take a look at and have on hand especially if you're a writer. I've added it to my library and gone back to look over it a few times already. It's a very useful, helpful and educational craft book. ( )

Presents an interesting and useful plot structure alternative to The Hero's Journey. Mind you, I don't think her presentation of The Hero's Journey is completely accurate, but that's all right. ( )

This is a fascinating and fun read that will have me reading books in a new light to discern a hero’s versus heroine’s journey. It also has me doing a lot of pondering about craft and genre fiction. The only thing I felt was missing was a reference to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as I think it could be a classic heroine’s journey. ( )
