"The Dialogues of Plato : translated into English with Analyses and Introductions by B Jowett by Plato , Third Edition in five volumes Clarendon Press: Oxford, 1892" is
1) not the smaller First or Second Oxford Editions, 1870, 1876; 2) nor the four volume Fourth Edition, which abbreviates Jowett's Analyses and Introductions; 3) not the 2 volume Bantam Classic, although this may reproduce the text of on of the above editions; 4) not the book reviewed first above for that contains only a few of the dialogues; 5) none of the 600 miscellaneous collections of Platonic dialogues given as editions of the Bantam Classic, and often with different translators.
The whole indexing of Plato's works in LibraryThing needs a major revision. I would suggest that the basic classification is based on the titles of individual works, which would enable dubious books, such as the Epistles, to have their status discussed.
In English, the major language of LibraryThing, Plato is the usual name of the author of these dialogues.
