The first thing I liked about it was the illustrations. The pictures were the same as the Scooby-Doo T.V. show. I think this is great because it will interest children who don’t like to read as much. They will almost feel like they are watching the T.V. show. Secondly, I also like the language used, it was really fun to read. The book states, “As long as the Flume Plume keeps fluming and pluming, nothing will keep Scooby and me from Ocean Land.” The main theme of this book is to do the right thing and try to always help in whatever way you can. ( ) When a goblin creates havoc at Ocean Land, a water park run by a former Olympic swim medalist, the gang from the TV series, Scooby-Doo, solves the clues to catch the bad guy. The familiar characters, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and of course Scooby-Doo find crowds of people running out of their favorite water park. They discover that a goblin is tinkering with all of the water rides. Could the culprit be Bruno Meisterhoffen who wants to open a water polo park nearby, Ziggy Bones, skateboarder extraordinaire, or Mr. Glumly, a long time handyman recently fired by the water park owner, Tippy Torence? This plot follows the TV series format, Shaggy and Scooby get into trouble, the gang follows the clues to discover the identity of the goblin, and all is saved in the end. Children may find the book interesting, but I found it hard to follow and a bit boring. Not recommended, but could be considered extra reading for grades 1-2. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
