Identical twin sisters Summer and Winter live alone on a remote island, sheltered from the fallout of a mysterious event that has laid waste to the rest of the world. They survive on rations stockpiled by their father and spend their days deep in their mother's collection of classic literature - until a mysterious stranger upends their carefully constructed reality. At first, Edward is a welcome distraction. But who is he really, and why has he come? As love blooms and the world stops spinning, the secrets of the girls' past begin to unravel and escape is the only option. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

"The End of the World Is Bigger than Love is a story about love and grief, set in the earth’s waning days where cyber-terrorism runs rampant and a deadly disease called the Greying is spreading across the globe
Identical twins Summer and Winter have been abandoned on an island by their scientist father, left to fend for themselves as the end of the world creeps closer. When a mysterious stranger named Edward arrives, cracks start to appear in the unique reality the sisters have constructed for themselves. They must decide whether to trust him or make their escape and brave the outside world. " {Google Books, 2020}
I remember thinking that after a while I got annoyed with the writer for the way in which the twins became divided and I remember not liking the main characters very much.
For students who like a bit of mystery and end of world /dystopian survival themes with romance. From memory it is a bit "life of Pi" in that what the twins perceive as reality is actually a lot different to real reality...I don't like books like that so even though I finished it, I was dissatisfied with the outcome....but don't quote me on this because it was a few months ago when I read it.
