Straight up. The writing in this book is nothing spectacular. It is a few simple sentences and lots of repetitive phrases. But I have this five stars for the INCREDIBLE illustrations.

The illustrator used cut paper and ink in his designs and so, it is like a collage. The textures of the snow are DIVINE! All different colors of white....including notebook paper.....and then when the bear dives into the sea, we have all sorts of blue make their appearance. I want to design and try to copy a bear myself. It looks relatively attainable. And the seals are so cute.

This is an engaging picture book perfect for students ages 4-7. This book is educational about polar bears while telling a story about a polar bears adventure. I would recommend this book for a science class learning about animals and their habitats. ( )

Where does a polar bear go? Wherever he wants to go, buddy. Now get the hell out of the way.

Fun to read aloud. Great illustrations. ( )
