I was happy my husband died, but I couldn't admit it, otherwise people might think I killed him. Before Olivia knows she is lucky. She has a loving husband, Frank, an adorable son, Jake, and a beautiful new home. It couldn't be more different from her childhood on the outskirts of Whitaker, dirt poor and dreaming of getting out. But at the end of long days with no one to talk to, always feeling like she's not quite good enough, she starts to wonder if there's a better life waiting... After Everyone in Whitaker knows who Olivia is. She's the woman who left her family for no-good Dane Miller - and the one who most likely shot him. Now, there's gossip about her everywhere she goes, she's too scared to leave the house most days, and she barely gets to see her beloved son. How can a perfect life fall apart so quickly? And, when you have nothing to lose, how far will you go to save yourself? An absolutely gripping, heart-pounding suspense novel about bad choices and second chances. Perfect for fans of Gone Girl, Karin Slaughter and Lisa Gray. What readers are saying about Some Days Are Dark 'I cannot believe this is a debut. I will gladly read all future books from this author. A great thriller that had me turning the pages.' Goodreads Reviewer, 'Really quick, enjoyable read. Started it on a Monday morning and finished it Tuesday morning before lunch!... I told myself one more chapter but then the chapter ended on a cliff hanger, I then had to read two more chapters to find out what happened.' Jenn Gregory Writes 'Keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning till the very last page. Not an ending I saw coming, love being surprised.' Goodreads Reviewer 'Just wonderful! Thrilling and packed with twists. I read this addictive and wonderful book in one engrossed and heart-pounding sitting... I am so thrilled to have discovered this author and will be recommending her and this book to everyone! Brilliant.' Renita D'Silva, 'I absolutely devoured this book... The characters are well developed and the storyline is so enthralling. Highly recommended!' Netgalley Reviewer,… (plus d'informations)

Olivia is a mum to Jake and a wife to Frank. After an accident she finds herself relying on painkillers daily just to cope with life. As she feels increasingly withdrawn from Frank she meets the charming and handsome Dane..... What will this mean for her marriage, life and family? The tale is told from Olivias' point of view sometimes from in the past and sometimes fro in the present I enjoyed the book, the author painted a great picture of the characters and I enjoyed her style of writing it was descriptive and managed to convey th right atmosphere for each chapter.. I was taken through a range of emotions frustration, disbelief and fear to name a few and there were some great twists in there too!
If you like a thriller revolving around home and Family i think I you will enjoy this. Thank you to Netgalley, Bookouture and Miranda Smith for giving me the opportunity to read this arc. ( )
