Bully romance seems to be the new sub-genre these days but this one takes it to a different area because it is more than just that it is also a shifter romance. It made for a new experience because it is not something that I had read before. This author wrote one of my favorite shifter romance series and I was glad that she had ventured into this because she was meshing the two worlds. Fantastic steamy times, characters, and also leaving open to start a new series while staying true to what she is good at. I always love that she adds some BDSM into her stories. I am looking forward to where this new series goes. Renee Rose’s ALPHA BULLY is a captivating foundation to the Wolf Ridge High series. In this story human, Bailey Sanchez, moves to Cave Hills, Arizona after her mom accepts a job there. Unfortunately, the person her mother is replacing is there new next-door neighbor/wolf shifter, Jerry Muchmore, who was fired from his position. His son Wolf Ridge High quarterback/alpha Cole takes offense to the humans that made his life a hell. He seeks his revenge on Bailey by making her an outcast at the school. However, as much as he hates her, he finds himself attracted to her. This contemporary paranormal romance is suitable for new adult readers. Renee Rose does an amazing job with ALPHA BULLY. I like Cole’s character. He is conflicted. He is dominant and protective of those he cares about. Bailey is a sweet heroine. She is smart. She has no idea wolf shifters exist. They both lost someone, and they both need to heal. The story takes some thought-provoking twists. The pack dynamics in the novel was compelling. Both characters grow substantially throughout the story. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

SHE RUINED EVERYTHING... I WILL MAKE HER PAY. Her mom robbed my dad of his job. Destroyed his life. Now I have to look at her every day. The girl next door. A human. A hot little nerd. She doesn't belong here-not in Wolf Ridge, not at our high school, definitely not in my life. She doesn't know what I am. Which makes it all the easier to take revenge. I will bring her to her knees. Pierce her heart. Make her bleed. For me. All for me. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

This time around, we have Cole, who is pretty much the boss of the school. His dad lost his job and Bailey's mom has it now. So he has banned the entire school from talking to her or to be her friend. That means she's really just iced out, except for one person, who isn't much better off herself. Bailey is stuck in a friendless state and is in a weird place because of it, because she had moved into a new town. One that is run by shifters, not that she knows that.
I got mad at Cole because he counted Bailey and her mother as his enemies even though it wasn't really their fault that anything happened. I mean, the only person to blame here is his dad, but with the way that his dad treats him and his younger sister, it's no surprise that Cole blames Bailey.
I really do like Bailey because she has so much strength and courage in her. She makes some really adult choices and I think that she did it really well. ( )
