In this narrative, a man called Farouch is compelled to take a journey to find his lost memories. He is joined by a half-man who helps to guide him in his course of actions. The pace of the story increased dramatically once the god Efferion is introduced. The action and adventure developed into a tale I would recommend reading. The back story of the characters provides well developed insight into the personalities. This is a fantasy adventure but the ideas of a god, the essence of mankind and the purpose for being makes for a thoughtful adventure.

I enjoyed this novel and Farouche's journey from amnesiac to having his memory returned. I liked the characters, the storyline, and the world-building. It's a fun and quick read. ( )

This book has a nice story line, but the author needs to remember his target reader and not a paper for a science professor technical symposium. The characters are good. I wouldn't suggest this book for the Layman unless he or she has a Dictionary on hand. ( )

[This review is of the ebook ARC for LibraryThing Early Reviewers]
This book grabbed right from the very beginning. An amnesiac remembers nothing before he finds himself walking alone in the wilderness. It soon becomes apparent that he has been a soldier, and perhaps he has a very dark secret in his past.

All of this is told very well, and is very interesting. But at the end I felt like there was no climax and no resolution. The amnesiac turns out not to really be the main character, and nothing much really happens.
