As a white person, this was very eye-opening and has educated me a lot of issues I wasn't aware of ( )

Great collection of short essays by women and non-binary people of colour and their experiences of growing up. Many refer to their teenage diaries and are writing to their younger selves. Some are sharing experiences that have had profound impacts on their lives. They range from learning to love their bodies and who they are, to experiences with drugs, to finding their identities between cultures and becoming comfortable in that space. I really enjoyed this and I can relate to many of the experiences shared in this book. ( )
