This chapter book combines math history and modern-day technology for students. This would benefit teachers because it gives realistic math problems and helps students see math is everywhere. It also has pictures which will make the read more enjoyable. ( )

It is very, very good at connecting abstract math concepts with the everyday. With pictures! Although it might be aimed for a younger audience, i want to buy it for my math-averse college students.

Note: I only read the first few chapters and skimmed through the rest. I do plan on reading the rest of it. ( )

It’s a Numberful World: How Math is Hiding Everywhere, is an informational text written by Australian math teacher, Eddie Woo. It’s a Numberful World, goes over multiple systems that are powered by math. This book is phenomenal due to the approach to math it was written in. Woo, admits that he too once found math boring as a student but became enamored with it once he saw the patterns in it and the application. Woo’s book brings this form of excitement and wonder into the classroom and would serve well as a guide to pull real-world applications from and as a classroom library assignment. ( )

Its a numberful world is a great book that shows how math is seen everywhere. I want this book in my classroom because I want to show my students that they are learning a very important concept for their everyday life. I want kids to see that math is important and that there is a reason that they are learning it. ( )

Each chapter in this book covers a new math topic that is introduced. Eddie Woo is capable of providing simple explanations and connecting math to real-world things like rainbows, blood vessels, or the shape of a sunflower. From this book, you can look at things in our everyday life and think about potential math explanations behind it and this is exactly what Mr. Woo does in this book. Students can read this book as a great choice to understand why it is important to understand math and study it. ( )
