This is a contemporary YA survival story filled with action, adventure, and just a touch of romance. Teen-aged Emily is in charge of babysitting her young cousins as they travel to Europe to meet up with their families. Along the way she meets a charming young Englishman named Christopher... who she continually seems to accidentally embarrass herself in front of. When the ship is mysteriously sunk, and Emily, her cousins, and Christopher miss the lifeboats, they save themselves using an inflatable life raft, only to land on an apparently deserted island. But on this island, there is more than meets the eye, as they shall soon discover...

I LOVED this story. It was completely clean, and very entertaining. More than once, I had to force myself to put it down, usually only after having read it until later than one o'clock in the morning! It is, however, optimal for people between the ages of 12 and 16, and not all older "young adults" may find it quite as enjoyable as I did. I really enjoyed this book; it is a great book with good Christian values and a wonderfully captivating plot, and it is well worth the purchase! ( )
