I loved this followup to Southern Charmer. Luke and Gracie are ever so hot together! Great dialogue, steamy and original sex scenes, emotion, humor - everything you want in a romance novel. Eli and Olivia are back and without spoilers...Luke's moms are priceless! Southern Player can be read as a standalone, but do yourself a favor and read Southern Charmer first to get the complete Charleston Heat experience! One of the best of 2019 I discovered this author late last year and devoured EVERYTHING that she had ever written. With each book, I fall a little harder. Every book has me thinking me thinking it is the best only to be pushed down further on the list as the newest one is released and becomes the favorite. This is most definitely true with this one. Luke and Gracie were perfect. This book is more than brother's best friend this was showing that love has no boundaries. The characterization and growth of the characters were delightful to watch. Luke, as he realized he didn't want the things that he had before and trying to make sense with what he did want in his life. Gracie, independent and feisty. Both were successful in their own right but trying to see if the city and country could coincide together. HINT, they totally can. The chemistry was hotter than Hades. I am not sure I will ever look at my bathtub without thinking of these two. mmm.hmmm. Nor, did I ever think that a farmer would be my dream man but if that farmer is a former baseball player turned farmer named Luke then sign me up. Side characters were delightful. I want Luke's mama's to be mine. They had me laughing out loud numerous times. One of my favorite parts of this story was the chance to see the continuation of Olivia's romance stories written into the story as a device to steer the characters in the right direction. I really liked that in the first book and was actually said that it wouldn't be in this book. I am glad that I was wrong because a story in a story is amazing. Especially, if it is done well like this author does it. Definitely going on my best of 2019 list and my favorite from this author. Until, the next book. The preview of what is to come in the epilogue almost killed me. I have a strong feeling that they will become my favorites. The heart of a cowboy with all the charm of a Prince Charming. Luke may be a little rough around the edges, but the way he put Gracie first made him perfection. Southern Player is my first Jessica Peterson novel, but I am confident it won't be my last. It's easy to love a story that doesn't gloss over the heartache, but makes it the backdrop of a fresh start. Gracie wants her voice to be heard and Luke wants her to know that he was always listening. Southern Player is a sweet temptation that is a welcome asset to any lover of romance. I'm looking for a hot hookup with no strings attached. And I want my older brother's best friend to step up to the plate... My dating history is lame. My experiences in bed? Even lamer. As the owner of a thriving business, I'm used to calling the shots. But one place I don't always want to be in charge is in the bedroom. Enter Luke Rodgers. My brother's best friend. Former Major League baseball player. A guy who now hangs out on his farm, sweaty and shirtless, as he nurses a shoulder injury. If the rumors are true, he also likes to work up a sweat behind closed doors. A total MVP in the sack. Just the take charge guy I'm looking for. With Luke and I, it's game on. And it's all good until Luke decides he wants forever, and he wants it with me. I'm just not convinced I can trust Luke. Will he keep playing the field? Or is he really ready to hang up his cleats for good? Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
