Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. This book is the 3rd in the Dragonrider Legacy and a continuation of the Dragonrider Chronicles. This a fantastic book and has a great story. The characters are very likable and interesting. I loved reading the full series and I know many others will agree. Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. This book can be read as a standalone, but there are some characters that you won't figure out who they are until close to the end. There are also a couple of characters that you don't find out what happens to them - maybe in the next book. The book is an OK read, nothing special and it needs a little more proofreading there are some sentences with missing words or the words have been swapped. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Captured and tortured by the brutal tyrant, Argonox, Reigh's worst fears have now been realised. Argonox has successfully twisted his mysterious dark power for a truly evil purpose, reanimating the long-deceased legendary dragonrider, Beckah Derrick, and her monstrous king drake. But Argonox's cruelty won't end there and Reigh fears the worst is yet to come. Rescue is unlikely as the Tibrans prepare to make their final strike, poised to break Maldobar's ranks of proud dragonriders once and for all. With many of its cities already captured by the Tibran Empire, all hope now rests with Jaevid, Princess Jenna, Phillip and their mismatched band of dragonrider allies to lead the last stand and save their kingdom. Even in such frightful times, Jaevid may find he still has a few old friends ready to take up their weapons and stand at his side again. But facing down Beckah is perhaps the one thing that might break Jaevid's resolve. Can he really strike down the woman he used to love in order to save the kingdom? One final battle will decide the fate of our heroes. Can the strength dragonrider prevail once again? Or will the Tibran Empire become Maldobar's new legacy? This story is broken between Jenna and Reigh, using different povs for each that drives home the disparity of their experiences. Jenna's is third person, occasionally allowing insight into Jaevid, following him instead. Reigh's is first person. A prisoner being tortured, and having retreated within himself, Reigh's perspective is muffled, shrunken down to the immediate horrors he's facing. I liked that we got some interaction with Noh without Reigh. He's a fascinating figure, and it was interesting to learn the full truth of his past.
I admit, I was a bit confused at the beginning. Reigh got caught by Argonox while trying to save Aubren, then Aubren was gone and had attacked Jenna, but I can't recall that happening. The ending and final resolution were not what I expected either. It was interesting, and I look forward to seeing it play out further in later books/series. It's definitely going to shake things up! Recommended for dragon-lovers, and fantasy-lovers!
