Listening to crazy books is a good stress relief! ( )

re-read 07/02/2021: My first review might give the wrong impression about this series, so let me correct that by saying I love that the story is balancing between sweet, funny and sometimes intensely heartbreaking. Maybe at first read the sweet and cute parts stood out the most for me. But now I'm really seeing all it's different components.
Even the writing, which seemed wonky to me back then, might be purposely primitive in places to showcase one of the characters' lack of knowledge about the world in general.
Them boys are precious to me. :) I might have enjoyed it more the second time around.

Cinnamon roll is right! :D This is so sweet. Pykh is so damn cute, but it's so sad he grew up in captivity and considers that normal. Siel's pov was a bit sad, coz he wanted to give up so many times.
But most of all I liked how they thought Carter is a delicate flower who needs protecting. Which he did, but it was a team effort, they all needed to protect each other.
I shouldn't have liked this to be honest, because of the insta-love. But it was so damn cute and funny.
There wasn't much sex, which was surprising to me. Alas, I'm not sure how I feel about alien-human sex yet, good thing I already own book 2, so I'm off to find out.
