I saved this novella for last but I loved this series and Vic and Simon so much that I really wanted to see how their lives were going to play out...knowing that this was a short novella and wouldn't necessarily carry on the story as well as the other 2 books. I found, when finally letting myself read it that for a short story it packed a lot heat and had enough going on to be both intriguing and gripping at the same time. I would have found out that the D'Amato clan welcomed Simon with open arms...accepted his abilities to communicate with the dead... and wished only the best for his and Vic’s future. It was full of magic, spirits, friends, and Simon and Vic finally settling in and making a home together. Loved it! I hope there will be many more Vic and Simon adventures!!! ( ) First up if you've not read the first book never fear, there's enough background in this story for it to be read as a stand-alone. This one deals with the guys going back to Pittsburgh to meet Vic's family and stumbling over both Vic's ex and a couple of disgruntled ghosts. This takes place around Thanksgiving and Christmas and we see the guys' relationship evolving. There's some great 'ghost' busting. Well written and fun. Great narration. Morgan Brice writes some great paranormal mystery stories, but then she is also able to focus on the relationship and things that go along with that, and I love it just as much. We get family, jerk exes, and cold cases in this, but it all still comes back to Simon and Vic being perfect for each other. Simon is an awesome character, and I love seeing him with Vic. This series is so good and I can't wait to read more.
