Jasmine Green just cannot help herself when it comes to a baby goat needing a new home. She decides that she will buy the goat and keep it for herself. The only problem is that her parents told her she was not allowed to adopt any more pets. She already has quite a few. She does not want to see the poor baby goat parish so she decides to rescue it. I would recommend this for any collection owning others in the series. ( )

This book is geared to ages 7-9 years old and is the 6th book in great series of animals stories. This book is not only for young readers but also good for adults to read to their child. ( )

This is a great book for young animal lovers. The pace of the action is fantastic. The different problems and solutions are creative. The illustrations remind me of Little House on the Prairie. It was a very fun book to read. ( )

I love this series in my elementary school library. They are perfect for first and second grade--the content is interesting yet not too high level. The characters are good intentioned, interesting, and believable.

The whole series, including A Goat Called Willow, are not overly saccharine, not overly complex, but are engaging. I haven't tried it on some 3rd and 4th graders yet, but I think even older animal lovers would enjoy. ( )

Young Jasmine and her friend Tom have rescued yet another animal, this time a baby goat named Willow. Willow is a playful goat that wins everyone's hearts, but Jasmine's parents have already said not more pets. What can Jasmine and Tom do to save Willow?

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of writing by author Helen Peters. It was easy to read and flowed well. The prose was clear and concise, but not choppy. The children were smart, with good intentions despite having broken the rules at first. I will definitely be adding this book and the rest of the Jasmine Green Rescues books to my library collection.
