Vinney is a small frog in school & having a difficult time with being short. His mother suggests to Vinney that until he grows up to be taller he should "think big". Vinney ends up going under the legs of the biggest kid in class (Cody) during a basketball game & scored. After that, Vinney feels it's not so bad being small. ( ) Vinney is having trouble at school: he is small, so other kids tease him, the teacher doesn't see him, no one passes the ball to him and he can't reach the chapter books at the library. His mom advises him to think big, and when he does, he finds out he can do all sorts of things. The story is speaks to real issues some children face and offers a positive solution. The illustrations are engaging and cheerful and add emotional meaning to the story: we see how Vinney is neglected on the basketball court at first and later how he is able to score a basket. The bold colors and black outlines will catch readers' attention. The only thing I didn't like was the digital format. When i would try to click to the next page, it would often go to two pages, and finding my way back was exasperating for both me and my six-year old. This book would be appropriate for ages 4 to 8. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
