With so many movies and books about princesses, is it any wonder that little girls dream of being a princess. Eliza wants to be a princess, but is not sure what a princess does. When you are a princess you don't have time to make cookies with mommy, paint with daddy, play baseball with your brother or ride bikes with your best friend. When your mommy tells you that princesses don't make cookies they have someone to cook for them, Eliza has had enough. She realizes that being a princess is not all it's cracked up to be, she wants to have fun! This is a cute book that will help little ones understand that being yourself and enjoying what you do is more important that the image others have. The illustrations are very appealing to young children, I love the huge stuffed bear that she plays with. A nice read for kindergarten and early primary classrooms.
