While writing this memoir, Faye often takes the dog Marlon for walks, and on one of these walks she meets a reclusive farmer, whom Faye later disovers has a very sad story. Also while writing the old film stars memoirs, Faye learns that she was chosen for this job on the strength of her writing, her french and english language skills and one other unknown reason. Which will be revealed later in the book.
The Provence is one of my all time favourite areas of France and I will read pretty much anything that relates to that region of France. Reading about that region is pretty much the same as being there for me.
I gave this book four stars just because it was set in my favourite part of France. (
