I would recommend this book to younger students who are in special education and/or have autism. This book goes through the story of a boy who has special gifts such as collecting items like watches, he wants to share the way he sees the world with those around him. This would be good in the classroom because it shows how people can see the world differently and is a story that students who are autistic can relate to and know they are not alone. ( ) This book is great for 2-4th grade readers. This book is about a boy who has autism and gives great insight into what this particular characters brain looked like and how he saw and interacted with the world. This book is great for children to be able to have a better understanding of what Autism is like, and they will be able to understand possible classmates or people around them that are Autistic. In a classroom this would be a good read aloud to show students that everyone is different. This book is about a young boy and his experience with having autism. This book is on the more light and playful side, as the main character views having autism as being "Uniquely Wired", as the title states. I would recommend this book to any age group, as I feel children of all ages can learn from this. Not only would students be able to learn new things from this book, but they can begin to identify those around them as being uniquely wired from themselves. That in itself is a positive thing to know at a young age. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Zak has autism, so he sometimes responds to the world around him in unconventional ways. As he describes his point of view, young readers gain a better understanding of his behaviors and learn valuable lessons about patience, tolerance, and understanding.--Publisher.
