In Macomber’s romantic novel, Clare Gilroy is on the rebound after ending her engagement to her longtime fiancé. At her friend’s wedding in Las Vegas, Clare finds herself running on high after a couple of wins and the attraction that has blossomed toward best man Reed Tonasket is growing. Older book. When is Las Vegas for her friends' wedding, Clare falls for the best man, Reed, hard. They marry impulsively, and Reed feels that Clare, the unattainable Anglo, will realize she married a Native American when she gets home & want a divorce. So, they don't talk, things get misconstrued and they almost get divorced until Clare becomes very ill & Reed moves her to his house to care for her (

Just what I wanted in a book at the time. An absolutely brainless romance, semi-interesting characters that you know will live happily ever after.

Definitely not one of Macomber's best. (
