This book ihas beautiful, bright, and colorful illustrations! They definitely remind me of Mexico (where the illustrator is from). Lots of ethnic and racial diversity in the kids illustrated, as well as some other representation (a kids using a wheelchair, a girl in a hijab). This book is filled with the joy of our deep connection to the world and everyone in it. ( ) This book is very colorful and Rafael Lopez did amazing illustrations that weren't just children holding hands. It is a visual to the children's song that we all know well. The book is a good to show the multicultural variance of our world to the students; especially the if there isn't a variety in the school so students know there is more people out there of different races. This book takes a well-loved children's hymn and turns it into a book that all children can enjoy regardless of religious background. I found that the book did not flow as well as it could but the pictures were beautiful and vivid making up for this issue. This is a nice book for encouraging multicultural acceptance in younger classrooms and children and and the beautiful illistrations could be inspiration for young poets needing a good mentor text with lots of simple and bright imagery to write about. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
