THE WORLD'S FIRST POST-TRUTH GAMING BOOK After rashly tweeting he would dream up an imaginary computer game for every 'like' received, Nate Crowley found himself on an epic quest to conjure up hundreds of entirely fictional titles. From 1980s hits like BeastEnders to modern classics like 90s Goth Soccer and BinCrab Destiny, this beautiful retrospective takes the reader on a lavish tour of the most memorable and groundbreaking games never made. Brought to hilarious life by a team of genuine videogame industry concept artists and written by a professional over-imaginer, this book doesn't just throw out silly ideas - it expands on them in relentless, excruciating detail. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Nate Crowley lives in Walsall, near the big IKEA. A compulsive world builder, he is the author of The Death and Life of Schneider Wrack as well as the celebrated Daniel Barker's Birthday. Nate is currently working on a text adventure about a haunted sales training manual called Big Mike Lunchtime's Business Training '95, as well as the animated series Realms of Fightinge, and a new novel. You can find him as @Frogcroakley on twitter, where he is apparently worth a follow if you're into that sort of thing. * The perfect Christmas gift for the gamer in the family. * The social media phenomenon brought to thrilling life in this fully illustrated all-colour book. * The tweet-a-thon results, ranging from 'chilling' MMO Hawks Versus Voles Online to sidescreen scroller / cockney beat-'em-up BeastEnders and beyond, were by degrees hilarious, touching, grotesque, and - crucially - entirely made up. * The tweets soon went viral, garnering coverage on prominent sites includingBuzzfeed and Rock Paper Shotgun, at which point the author evolved the concept to include fan donations to the Zoological Society of London (ZSL).… (plus d'informations)
Don’t let the title fool you. There are over 250 games mentioned in the book. Aside from the 100, there are honourable mentions; lists of 10 Luurvely Cockney Games, Celebrity Tie-Ins, and A Brief History of Star Trek Games.
The attention to detail is glorious. The artwork for each of the video games reflects the technology of the time whether it is clunky and two dimensional or simulated with actors.

Despite my fundamental conviction that only astronauts and wrestlers should boast about their own work, I feel I must warn you: you've picked up an incredibly important book here. Foreword
Balancing the claustrophobic horror of space with the maddening futility of cat ownership, LAYCION set an early high bar for simulation gaming.
